Transform the economy
Transition economy:
Individuals can slow down the ever faster turning unregulated capitalism machine by changing their consumption patterns significantly. First step is very simple in its essence but difficult to achieve because it requires a change of habit(s) : Consume less ! Buy less ! By doing that, the first step in transforming the economy is taken;
The Covid crisis showed us he way. Few people have died from consuming less, from not being able do do some “fun shopping”. It turned out that there was suddenly a lot of money left to spend , so why not spending it on initiatives that strengthen the social cohesion. Where people with excess money “distribute” this trough all sorts of initiatives that that partake in that alleviates misery and helps to give people to live a decent living;
Free market unregulated capitalism as we know it now thrives on speculation and short-term gains, slavery somewhere along the life cycle chain of a product and damaging the environment in order for a few to gain a lot by exploiting other fellow human beings and the Earth resources;
This unregulated free market system should be replaced by an economy that is distributive based, curbs excessive wealth, is regenerative and incorporates the well being of the Earth on the same “status” as an individual should be considered;
Production should be brought back as much as possible to the place of consumption. “Local" economies need to be developed. Supply chains shortened;
The current “energy transition effort” aiming to convert the current energy mix to a complete renewable (wind, sun, hydro, geothermal) source fails far short, is behind targets and is not capable to provide a stable base load needed for our economy. Specific nuclear power sources that generate hydrogen as byproduct should be a structural component of our energy mix, they form a base load that underpins the variable, unpredictable production cycles of wind and sun sourced electricity.
